" Comme un rêve " is the last work of the French director - and ballet's lover - Marlène Ionesco. This is a notable documentary centers on two étoiles of The Opéra de Paris, Dominique Khalfouni and her son Mathieu Ganio. Mathieu was nominated at only 20-year-old; his mother followed another path and left the Opera de Paris. She joined the Ballet de Marseille and became the prima ballerina of Roland Petit.
This touching heritage goes through Marseille, Paris and St Petersbourg.
"Comme un rêve" is a story about dance and emotions, an handsome movie that exploring life, work, remembrances, regrets and hopes of two artists.
The DVD is gracefully illustrated with both behind-the-scene and performance footage. It includes extracts of ballets as "Roméo and Juliet", "Ivan Le Terrible", "Giselle", "Le Spectre de la Rose" (with Noureev), "Don Quichotte". Some documents present the wonderful partners of Dominique Khalfouni as Cyril Atanassof, Jean Guizerix and Manuel Legris. It alternates with interviews of famous dancers : Baryshnikov, Vassiliev, Pierre Lacotte, Michael Denard or Agnès Letestu.
